How to I stop condensation in my lunchbox?Updated 21 days ago
It's tricky to pinpoint the reason why some customers struggle with condensation and some don't, even amongst our team here at Adventure Snacks some of us never have condensation yet others have it all the time.
Condensation occurs inside lunchboxes/containers when water vapor in the air is trapped within the container when it is sealed. So many things can cause this, from humidity in the air in your kitchen, to moisture already in the food being packed. Regardless of what is causing it, if the air in the lunchbox is above the dew point of the insulated lunch bag, excess moisture will condense, appearing on the on the coldest surface first.
The best way we have found to combat this is to wrap a thin tea-towel around the ice pack, or put a sheet of paper towel under the sandwich. This will help absorb any excess moisture.
