Regardless of what is causing it, if the air in the lunchbox is above the dew point of the insulated lunch bag, excess moisture will condense, appearing on the on the coldest surface first. </span></span></div></div><div data-block="true" data-editor="54v91" data-offset-key="d86qs-0-0"><div data-offset-key="d86qs-0-0"><span data-offset-key="d86qs-0-0"><br data-text="true"></span></div></div><div data-block="true" data-editor="54v91" data-offset-key="c9hlj-0-0"><div data-offset-key="c9hlj-0-0"><span data-offset-key="c9hlj-0-0"><span data-text="true">The best way we have found to combat this is to wrap a thin tea-towel around the ice pack, or put a sheet of paper towel under the sandwich. This will help absorb any excess moisture.</span></span></div></div>

<p>It&apos;s likely that if you&apos;re getting a soapy taste from your silicone product, it&apos;s because of the dish detergent or soap that you&apos;re using.&#xA0;</p><p>Perfumed dish detergents and soaps, and also those that contain moisturisers can leave a residue on silicone and can cause it to smell or even taste like soap.&#xA0;</p><p>You can try to get rid of the soapy smell/taste by making a bicarb and vinegar paste, or rubbing a fresh cut lemon on the silicone then rinsing with hot water. Going forward, try to use a mild dish soap like Ecocstore, Earth or Organic Choice, and they wont leave that soapy residue like the other brands.&#xA0;</p>

To avoid premature damage to your new products, and to encourage longevity we strongly suggest following the manufacturer&apos;s care instructions.</p><p><br></p><p>You can find the care instructions for each product on the product listing, or on the product itself.</p><p><br></p><p>Please note that not all lunchboxes are dishwasher safe. Some are strictly handwash only, and placing these products in the dishwasher will void the warranty (for example, bbox and OmieBox)</p><p><br></p><p>Some insulated lunch bags can be placed in the washing machine such as MontiiCo and bbox, however some are wipe-clean or hand-wash only.</p><p><br></p><p>It is recommended to ensure all fabric products such as lunch bags, and any products containing silicone are wiped clean of all food and allowed to thoroughly dry before storing. Packing these products away when they are still wet can encourage mould growth.</p>
