My silicone has a soapy taste.Updated 21 days ago

It's likely that if you're getting a soapy taste from your silicone product, it's because of the dish detergent or soap that you're using. 

Perfumed dish detergents and soaps, and also those that contain moisturisers can leave a residue on silicone and can cause it to smell or even taste like soap. 

You can try to get rid of the soapy smell/taste by making a bicarb and vinegar paste, or rubbing a fresh cut lemon on the silicone then rinsing with hot water. Going forward, try to use a mild dish soap like Ecocstore, Earth or Organic Choice, and they wont leave that soapy residue like the other brands.
